Built in the seventh year of the Yongle Reign of the Ming dynasty,
Art Granary boasts of a long history of over six centuries.
During the recent decades of city development of Beijing,
the surrounding buildings of the Nan Xin Cang area,
including Poly Plaza, Min-metals Building and Nan Xin Cang Tower,
have formed a special urban center,
maintaining its uniquely quaint style and classical milieu
amidst an increasingly prosperous and modern city landscape.
Art Granary aims to uphold its original cultural concepts,
to introduce pure art by promoting the cultural exchanges and
international cooperation between outstanding Chinese artists
and their foreign colleagues. In the meantime,
Art Granary views it as its responsibility to promote the diversity
of art and cultural education. Although situated in a metropolis of skyscrapers,
Art Granary endeavors to sail across Rivers and Mountains, as it were.
